We have a passion to make Jesus known in this world, and to know Jesus in all things. The daily work is work ordained by Father who loves us (Eph 2:10).

Life is bright and the truth is aggressive.

These phrases have become pillars for us. They express the conviction that life cannot possibly be mundane, because “the earth is Yahweh’s and the fullness thereof” (Psalm 24:1). Life is beautiful, and really horrible sometimes, but it is anything but mundane. And ultimately, for those in Jesus Christ, life is exceedingly good (Romans 8:28-30). Traffic, waiting rooms, roller coasts, trips to Tunisia, and an evening with a book by the fire – these are all essentially dramas of the same reality of Jesus. Life is bright for those who know Christ.

And the Truth is Aggressive. The Truth is the reality in which we live. The Truth is actuality. There is no escaping the truth: “for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known” (Matthew 10:26). There are no hidden corners of the universe or – more importantly – of our life stories. All will be brought to the light of Christ. There are no alternatives to Jesus. Christ’s pursuit of human hearts is the fabric of this universe and the meaning of our jobs, families, and neighborhoods. He upholds the universe by the word of his power.

We believe that life is nothing more than receiving the grace of Jesus in all things. This is our passion, and this is our pursuit. We invite friends and family to join us, and to pray for us and with us.

This blog, then, regards all things: food, lean manufacturing, theology, biking, traveling, teaching, preaching, hiking, adventure, family, sex, books – for “All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:3-5).
